2 Processing of personal data in our showroom by WEBER-HYDRAULIK

WEBER-HYDRAULIK only processes your personal data in connection with the showroom if this is permitted in accordance with the statutory provisions, either because we are legally permitted to do so or because you have given us your voluntary consent to the respective processing, which you can withdraw at any time.

We obtain your data to be processed in two different ways. Either

2.1 Data to be processed you provide to us

As part of the showroom, there are basically two situations in which you (may) provide us with your data:

2.1.1 Registration for the showroom – activation

You need to first register and log in to be able to use our showroom. For this purpose, you need to provide your first and last name and your email address.

We only use these data for the registration and activation of your access to our virtual world. This procedure guarantees that only persons selected by us are granted access to the showroom.

The disclosure of data for the purpose of registration and activation in our portal is based on your voluntary consent, which you can withdraw at any time. You can unsubscribe from the portal at any time. In this case, the data you have disclosed to us in this context will be deleted and no longer processed.

We will retain the data provided to us in this context as long as we offer you the showroom service or until you unsubscribe from our services (withdrawal).

2.1.2 Contact and surveys

WEBER-HYDRAULIK also offers you comprehensive personal support in our showroom and is at your disposal for any questions and enquiries.

We also conduct corresponding surveys, which you can voluntarily sign up for.

In addition, our sales staff can contact you using the contact details provided in the showroom.

We treat the data you have provided to us in this context as strictly confidential and only process them to satisfy your requests.

We are happy to provide information on the data stored about you. For more details, please read the “Right of access” and “Contacting WEBER’s Data Protection Officer” sections of this Privacy Policy.

2.2 Data collected while using the showroom

When you visit our website, your browser transfers to our servers some data that are necessary for using this website. These data are temporarily stored in what is called a log file. The following information is recorded without your intervention and stored in so-called log files until it is automatically deleted:

These data will not be merged with any other data sources.

2.3 Use of cookies – Definition and general information on the use of cookies

Cookies are small files that contain a character string in which certain information has been stored in open or encrypted form. Cookies are sent from the server to your computer and stored there. They initially serve to identify the computer from which a website was accessed. If you log on to a website, cookies are used to inform the server that you are logged on and to check your authorisation to access a page. Some cookies have an “expiry date” after which they are no longer valid.

Cookies can be used to track a user’s path across different pages of the website and also across different websites. Cookies can be used to improve communication between the showroom server and your computer, making the use of the website more convenient. Cookies may not only originate from the website operator, but also from third parties, for example when advertisements are placed on the website.

In your browser, you can view the cookies stored on your computer, delete existing cookies or configure your browser to no longer allow all or any cookies.

But please note that some functions (such as login) may no longer work properly or at all if you disable cookies. Please also be aware that if you disable cookies, an “opt-out cookie” is often set, informing our servers or the servers of the cookie provider that you no longer want to be tracked. But if you then delete all cookies, you will automatically delete this cookie as well. This, in turn, will entail that you need to once again express your wish not to be tracked.

All cookies we use are so-called essential cookies, meaning that they are necessary to ensure the proper functionality of the showroom. They are exclusively hosted on and processed by our server. Below we would like to inform you about the individual cookies, their validity period and their function:

PHPSESSID cookie (validity period: no more than 24 min)

Function: Administration of the PHPSESSION, i.e. your visit to our showroom.

io cookie (validity period: no more than 1 day)

A cookie that is necessary for the interaction with elements in the 3D room. This cookie is placed every time the website is accessed.

dd360data (validity period: no more than 1 day)

A cookie that is necessary to ensure the functionality of our showroom, serving to identify and authenticate the user. Only the lastLogin and the lastLogout of the user are stored, which means that this value is overwritten on the next login/logout.

Should you have any further questions concerning this, please feel free to contact us at any time.

2.4 Possibility of audio and video conferences

As described above, communicating with you directly is also a top priority in the WEBER WORLD, which is why we offer you the opportunity to directly contact the desired WEBER point of contact by audio/video conference in our portal as well. For this purpose, we use an externally operated online conference tool.

If you decide to communicate with us online by video or audio conference, your personal data will be collected and processed by us and by the provider of the respective conference tool.

The conference tools process all data you provide/use to use the tools (your email address and/or phone number). Furthermore, the conference tools process the duration of the conference, the start and end (time) of participation in the conference, the number of participants and other “context information” in connection with the communication process (metadata).

In addition, the provider of the tool processes all technical data required to implement the online communication. These include, in particular, IP addresses, MAC addresses, device IDs, device type, operating system type and version, client version, camera type, microphone or loudspeaker and type of connection.

If content is exchanged, uploaded or made available in any other way within the tool, it will also be stored on the servers of the tool providers. Such content includes, in particular, cloud recordings, chat / instant messages, voicemails, uploaded photos and videos, files, whiteboards and other information that is shared while using the service.

Please note that we do not have full influence on the data processing operations of the tools used. Our possibilities essentially depend on the corporate policy of the respective provider. For further information on data processing by the conference tools, please refer to the privacy policies of the respective tools, which we have listed below this text.

The use of the conference tools is based on your voluntary consent, which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future. The data collected are used to communicate with prospective or existing contractual partners or to offer our customers particular services. In addition, the use of the tools serves to generally simplify and accelerate the communication with us and our company.

The data directly collected by us via the video and conference tools will be deleted from our systems as soon as you request their erasure, withdraw your consent to their storage or they are no longer necessary for the purpose for which they were stored. Cookies stored will remain on your terminal device until you delete them. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

However, we have no direct influence on the storage period of your data that are stored by the providers of the conference tools for their own purposes. For further details, please contact the operators of the conference tools directly.
